Tokikoa is a regenerative business proposal for the Basque Country, where tonnes of Lana Latxa wool are wasted and kept into farm storage rooms. Farmers and shepherds in the region are forced to accumulate this waste in warehouses due to the fact that the European Commision considers this rough, flame resistant wool a Category 3 animal byproduct, making it ilegal to dispose of it in the land as compost. To tackle this waste we propose a regenerative solution by processing it into small pellet fertilisers to nurture the soil these sheep already feed from.
