Disassembling a Walkie Talkie to get familiar with the world of materials and its manufacturing processes. By taking apart the multiple pieces of a seemingly simple gadget, I discovered the complexity of its materials and connections. From understanding the financial considerations and manufacturing techniques involved in its production, to realising how impossible it is to effectively recycle these items.
The last part of this exercise was to imagine what an Apple campaign of this item would look like.
